Jacqueline (Jackie) Thomsen – Co-Founder and Director

Jackie worked for the Boeing Company, City of Seattle’s Building and Engineering Departments and Seattle’s Department of Parks and Recreation and Nordstrom.  She and her late husband, Dave, owned and operated Dave Magera Electric Co. for twenty-one years, specializing in commercial construction, and installation of POS systems for Texaco and Shell Oil Companies.  She described herself as the gofer, secretary, accountant and parttime helper on the job and became pretty darn good at running wire, while raising six children!  How can anyone top that?  She is our true multi-threat Board Member.

She met Chris Thomsen in 2001 while working for KONE Elevator Company where Chris worked.  They married in 2003 and are proud to be a “Made in America” business.  They enjoy spending time on their boat fishing, crabbing and being on the waters of Puget Sound. In addition to Chris, Thomsen’s, Inc., the Queen Anne Lutheran Church and her Sewing and Service Group, she loves reading, movies, television series and their two cats.  We have no idea where she finds the time.

The Thomsen Way is the fulfillment of our dream of helping protect and save people (especially children) one escalator handrail at a time
